The Creative Challenge
The goal was to build a digital home that emulated the soulful, historic weight of traditional jazz culture while functioning seamlessly for a modern digital audience.
Kenny wanted to capture the distinct, timeless aesthetic of his physical record collection and translate that tactile nostalgia into a clean, digital environment that felt both deeply authentic and highly professional.
Brand Identity & Logo
Drawing inspiration directly from some of Kenny’s favorite vintage jazz album art, I designed a custom logo, title cards, and several bespoke illustrations to bring the visual identity of this website to life. To further emphasize the podcast name, the color scheme features a curated sepia palette of rich browns and warm creams, evoking an editorial, archival feel that immediately establishes cultural authority.
Website Design & Build
For Sepia Voices, we engineered a clean web framework focused entirely on user onboarding and community building. By prioritizing prominent newsletter capture sections and streamlined navigation, the platform serves as a powerful pre-launch marketing tool that converts curious visitors into dedicated subscribers.
Social Media Assets
To ensure Kenny could seamlessly maintain his brand presence post-launch, scalability was key. Canva is a phenomenal design platform for quick content creation without the client needing advanced technical design know-how.
I fully loaded Kenny’s custom Canva account with his specific brand colors, fonts, unique instrument illustrations, and multiple flexible logo variations. This empowers him to independently create marketing graphics while keeping the branding perfectly consistent between the website and all external social platforms.
